Global Attain Advancement (GAA) has been on the forefront for a number of sustainable initiatives pushing for a clean environment. We are an accredited participant company of United Nations Global Compact, with an active letter of commitment address to former secretary-general H.E Ban Ki-moon which marked our recognition and determination to accept a voluntary commitment to implement the 10 principles governing the compact’s mission, in which GAA undertakes to present an annual communication on progress report describing the efforts made to carry out the Principles signed as part of GAA commitment, particularly on environment.
We are an avid supporter of United Nations “Sustainable Development Goals” (SDGs), and we are committed to making its principles part of our strategy, culture and day-to-day operations. We believe sustainable development is fundamental to our success. Our strategic approach enables us to better respond to the key risks and opportunities associated with global challenges including climate change, degradation of ecosystems, resource scarcity, and population growth. Our commitment to sustainability has contributed to our strong performance across the business.
We actively support and contribute to a number of clean energy initiatives. GAA team speaks and participate at major international gatherings on sustainability. Past featured participation’s includes UNCTAD14 2016 in Kenya, African Economic Conference in Nigeria, Sustainable Energy for All (SE4ALL) in New York, IMF/World Bank Spring Meeting in Washington Dc, World Economic Forum 2016 in Switzerland, Impact 2030 Conference in New York, The SDG Business Forum in New York, and more.
We were invited to attend the United Nations Global Compact Summit 2016 in New York and took part in the Signing Ceremony, as a committed steadfast promoter of sustainable trade, investment, and development across the world. We are also a member of International Business Standards Organisation, and we are a signatory for The OSLO Manifesto on how we can design and advance the global partnership needed to achieve all of SDG’s goals.
